Believe it or not, a few years ago I was barely a Zara fan. I found the styles boring and the fits unimpressive. One one hand, I’m sure my style has done some major evolving in the past few years, but at the same time I think Zara keeps getting better and better, no? What was once boring is now beautiful and minimalist, and the brand, which was formerly known for very rigid cuts, has welcomed some looser, more feminine looks into the mix.
The Zara March lookbook has brought together all of our favorites from the Spring 2012 runways – fine florals and bold prints, pastel colorblocking, paisley and flowy fits. Oh, and the studded collar, of course. What’s best about it is they’ve mixed new spring looks with some choice pieces from previous seasons. Remember that sheer button up you bought two years ago and haven’t been able to stop wearing? Yeah, don’t. I do have to admit that some pieces scream 3.1 Phillip Lim or even Stella McCartney, but I’m going to ignore that and just be happy that I can afford it – everyone plays copycat in fashion, right? But the collection pretty much speaks for itself, so without further ado….
