Style Icon: Aila Wang

Our current style icon is one of the…mini…variety; and when I say mini, I’m not talking Anja Konstantinova mini. Three year old Aila Wang is the youngest fashionista to make waves in the street style aspect of the industry. The itty bitty fashion royal is the niece to modern genius, Alexander Wang.

Yes, she may not be dressing herself (yet), but she has bloggers and photographers alike drooling over her stark, monochromatic style of dress. Aila keeps pretty low key most of the year, but she’s a favorite on the streets every time fashion week comes around.

While most kids her age are deciding between floral stretch-pants and polka-dotted dresses, Aila (like her uncle) has a penchant for classic black on black; but her look is anything but basic. We’ve seen her in everything from leather pants, avant-garde cut out shirts, Ray Ban wayfarers, leather skirts, Nike kicks to the most adorable fur coat you’ve ever seen. Jealous yet? Did I mention she also has a mini [Alexander Wang] Rocco duffle and a quilted Chanel bag (I wonder what she keeps in them)?

For now, I think I’ve come to terms with the fact that there is a person who does black on black exponentially better than myself, and that person is three years old. Meanwhile, Rachel Zoe and Skyler Berman are plotting on how to steal the spotlight (don’t worry, they won’t). Check out more pictures of the littlest Wang below:
