Featured September Editorial: #Instaglam

Based on the Roman Calendar, the “New Year” starts on January 1st. The Chinese New Year varies between fiscal years, and the list goes on. In fashion, however, regardless of the country, the year begins in September. In the next month or so, we’ll be looking forward to “September Issues,” (or Fall/Winter Issues, for seasonal magazines), Spring Fashion Week and Fashion’s Night Out all across the globe. Luckily for us, several magazines have already started releasing their biggest publications of the year.

This week, we’ll start off our September feature with an editorial from V 78, “The Youthquake Issue,” otherwise known as V Magazine Fall 2012. My favorite editorial from this issue takes a hint from one of social media’s most gratuitous smart phone application — Instagram. The editorial, cleverly named #Instaglam, was shot by Kacper Kasprzyk and features models Franzi Mueller, Zen Sevastyanova, Laura Kampman, Eliza Luijendijk, Irina Nikolaeva and Marte Mei Van Haaster. Stylist Jay Massacret dressed the models in our favorite bold fall colors from Calvin Klein to Versace, and V took it a step further by adding the hyper-saturation and photo filters that we’ve come to depend on, via Instagram.

The editorial, which V previewed via their Instagram is now available in stores and online, but if you can’t wait for it to come in the mail or are too lazy to subscribe, we’ve provided the post for you below. #yourewelcome.
